Risk Strategies Company Expands Environmental and Waste Industry Insurance Business
BOSTON, April 8, 2014 -- Risk Strategies, a leading national specialty insurance brokerage and risk management and consulting firm, today announced it has expanded their environmental and waste industry insurance business and named Pam Caron Senior Vice President. Caron, an established leader in the environmental and waste industry, joined Risk Strategies to add expertise and scale to this important business segment.
"Pam Caron brings years of expertise and industry insight to expand our growth in the environmental waste industry to a national level," said Michael Christian, Chief Executive Officer, Risk Strategies Company. "The waste hauling and recycling business fits well with Risk Strategies' consultative, technical approach. These clients face significant risk challenges and we are now well positioned to help them with these challenges."
Caron has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, specializing in risk and insurance solutions for the environmental and waste industry and previously worked for International Insurance Group and AJ Gallagher. In March 2014, Risk Strategies was successful in acquiring Caron's business interests from a regional Boston agency in which she was a partner.
In her new role, Caron will be responsible for providing creative insurance solutions for her clients and will manage a team of experienced account service, claims management, and loss control professionals. She is joined by team members Megan Feehan and Ashley Rahall.
"With the expansion of their waste hauling and recycling practice, Risk Strategies is now poised to deliver the full spectrum of risk services to its clients," said Caron. "We will now expand our environmental capabilities nationally, and bring expertise to insure more sophisticated technologies such as single stream recycling."
With client niches similar to Risk Strategies Company, Caron and her team have deep knowledge in several specialty areas including hazardous and non-hazardous waste haulers, landfills, single stream recycling facilities, construction and demolition facilities, paper recycling facilities, transfer stations, environmental contractors, electronics recycling, and demolition contractors.
